"Do Dooni Chaar" is a romantic comedy that is set in Delhi. The film, which was released in 2010, has won several awards. Do Dooni Chaar is ഒരു ഡോ. "Dooni Chaar" means "eight colors". The movie's story revolves around four 30-something friends who are still searching for their ideal wives. The main characters are Ishika (a practical-minded intellectual), Ankit (an unsuccessful businessman), Tia (cultural journalist) and Riya (working on her PhD). The four friends reside in a spacious apartment in South Delhi and share everything down to the washing and cleaning, living in a friendly camaraderie. The movie opens with Ishika (official actress: Sherlyn Chopra) walking into the lobby of an office building, she is wearing casual clothes and there is a backpack on her back. After an interview (in which she was asked such questions as "if her father is Ram or Ram Singh?"), she is told that she will be given the job if the boss likes her. She is then introduced to Mr. Maddy (real name Pranav Maddy) who offers her the job of being his personal assistant. That day, she is told that she should log off because Mr. Maddy will be leaving to his daughter's wedding. Later that evening, at their home, Riya (official scholar: Zarina Wahab) tells her friends that she uploaded a paper for her PhD thesis to the website called Nupedia which is a free encyclopedia. She is explaining the process by which papers are submitted to this site when Tia (work-oriented female) tells her that there are thousands of articles on their topic which would make it hard for her to find hers. The next morning, they find out that Mr. Maddy has asked Ishika to watch their home while he takes his daughter back home for the wedding. Mr. Maddy is a strict father-in-law who doesn't tolerate failure in any form. After he discovers that the wedding did not happen, he fires Ishika. Meanwhile, a huge birthday party is held at their home for Tia and she is happy to celebrate it with her friends. However, Riya takes the bags from the kitchen without explaining anything to her friend about what happened. One of her bags contained something that looked like drugs which Mrs. Maddy finds out about and informs Mr. Maddy about it during their car ride home from the airport. Later the four go to a nightclub that Tia's husband (Rajesh Sharma, "Gul Gulshan Aamhi") owns. The next day, Ishika comes around and asks if she should start her job at Mr. Maddy's office. After telling her to start on Monday, Ishika asks what happened between her and Mr. Maddy yesterday. Ishika explains that she went there for work but he asked her to plan his daughter's wedding too. She says that she did it out of respect but tells him that the wedding never happened so there was no point in doing it anymore.
